Strava

The Strava integration brings your training into Samlla automatically: each synced activity becomes a regular tracker entry, alongside everything else you observe. Integrations are a Pro feature.

Connecting

Open Integrations from your avatar menu and choose Strava, or take the Or connect Strava shortcut during your first sign-in. Connect with Strava sends you to Strava’s own authorization page.

Samlla asks for read access to your activities — nothing more. It never writes, uploads or edits anything on Strava.

Choosing what syncs

The Activity Types card lists 16 types — Run, Ride, Swim, Walk, Hike, four winter sports, four paddle and water sports, Yoga, Weight Training and Workout. Tick the ones you want and save.

For every enabled type Samlla creates a dedicated tracker named after it — “Strava - Run”, “Strava - Ride” — with metrics matched to the sport: distance, duration and pace for runs, elevation gain for skiing, duration and heart rate for yoga and strength work. Some metrics start active, others are created but switched off, ready to enable on the tracker page. The Linked Trackers card shows each tracker with its active-metric count and a direct link.

How syncing works

New activities arrive in the background — near-real-time when Strava pushes them, with a periodic fallback check. A Sync Now button triggers a manual pass whenever you want one; each pass covers your last 30 days of activities.

A synced entry carries the activity’s start time, its Strava name as the note, and a Strava source tag — so in the Journal you always see where it came from. Edits and deletions on Strava’s side propagate: rename a run there and the entry updates, delete it and the entry disappears.

Disconnecting

Connection Settings → Disconnect stops all syncing after a confirmation. Your trackers and every entry already synced stay in Samlla — disconnecting removes the authorization, not your data. Reconnecting later picks up where you left off. Revoking access from Strava’s settings has the same effect.

Other integrations

Strava is the first packaged integration; WakaTime and Fitbit are visible as “Coming Soon”. If you want to push data from your own scripts, the API keys section in Settings covers that path.
